Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell has worked as a chef, TV personality in the United States and an instructor at Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts her own Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her distinctive hairstyle and her pumped up appearance, offers simple techniques that anybody can learn. Chef Burrell is also an experienced chef of New York City's best restaurants. She also has studied Italy's culinary tradition and the culture of Italy, as well as the geography. As a child in the upstate New York area, Chef Burrell discovered a love for food and cooking from a young age. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step for her when she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America has been a great adventure. I couldn't learn enough couldn't achieve enough and couldn't push myself enough. After graduating at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and chef Burrell took a full year in Italy studying and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant in Umbria as well La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star in Tuscany. While in Italy Burrell developed a deep appreciation and understanding of Italian cuisine and its culture. This is a huge influence on the way that Burrell prepares her food. Burrell was a Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board participant, with the goal of to increase the lives of children who face obstacles. Burrell also serves as an Juvenile Disease Research Foundation's celebrity spokesperson and promotes awareness about children's diabetes. She travels frequently around the United States in her position as a mentor as well as a public speaker in which she speaks about her career and love of cooking. Anne has always been grateful she had the opportunity to share her love that she had for cooking with others.
