Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thailand fighter in the flyweight division. She is the older sister of the fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko, an experienced Muay Thai Kickboxer began her fight sports career at her first IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko took the title in a unified victory against Suzane Miller. Antonina was able to continue her professional career after getting bronze and silver medal in 2008 and 2007 respectively, a Gold medal in the year 2011, as well as the year-end 2016 IFMA amateur Muay Thai world champion. Antonia started her professional journey back in 2003. She has taken home numerous titles including the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships, Lion Fight Lightweight Championships, as well as the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina took on Isa Tidblad Kskikangas in the final round of Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was victorious by unanimous decision. Antonina Shychenko's professional MMA debut took place in 2002, at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan when she faced Anara Bayanova. She took the title via TKO at the end of round 2. She was able to take home 2 subsequent fights and both of them at the WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. It gave her an MMA record of 3-0. Shevchenko was forced to take a break in order to pursue boxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui at Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko won against Anissa with a unanimous vote before she fought Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. Following the league's dissolution in the year 2018, Shevchenko enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina used her superior striking techniques to TKO Nievera in the clinch via knees to the body. Antonina Shevchenko received a UFC Contract after this victory. Antonina took part in her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi via split decision fight following her first fight by an unanimous decision. Antonina bounced back from the loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the prize of the night in the fight. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in her three subsequent matches, winning over Ariane Lipski, while losing to Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina is currently being lost to Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
